May 3, 2017 - Seeger Toyota held an online contest for non-profits called "You Choose, We Donate." There were 50 other non-profits nominated and we were thrilled when we found out MAD won! Thanks to our supporters!
In July, new decals were designed & donated, making #ServingShuttle stand out on the streets more, and helping us spread the word about MAD which enables us to help more homeless & people in need!
June 30, 2017 - We were blessed to have Making A Difference's logo on a t-shirt supporting Tettaton Racing! That gave us another reason to go to the races and support Team Tettaton!
September 22, 2017 - Making A Difference was granted a confirmed charity Facebook account on May 15 and on this day in September, we had 5,000 followers who had liked our page! April 7, 2017 - MAD received a wonderful blessing with 20-passenger shuttle bus to accommodate our continuous growth! We use it to pick up donations and serve our displaced friends in Belleville & East St. Louis, IL and St. Louis, MO. We named her #ServingShuttle, she's a very important part of our organization and we couldn't do this without her!

November 20, 2017 - MAD's founder, Tony Hilker, was touched when he learned he was one of 77 volunteers nominated for "Thanks for giving, St. Louis" in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch/STLTODAY.COM. Click on the photo to read the submission for him written by one of our supporters.
November 14, 2016 -Making A Difference was founded when Chef Tony Hilker helped a friend with her non-profit, Feed My Peeps, a few months prior. He was struck by how many resources weren't being used in our community and he wanted to utilize them to make a difference. By November 19, after Tony rustled up some friends who wanted to help, we had our first collection of donations and were ready for our first mission to feed, clothe & serve the homeless!
May 24, 2017 - Papa John's St. Louis Charities holds a Papa Cares Campaign a few times a year and we were surprised to find out not only were we nominated but Making A Difference made it to the final four out of 1,200 nominations! We didn't win but our friends at Needy Paws Rescue did.
December 27, 2017 - It was just a few days after Christmas, it was 12° outside and Michelle Noyes saw what appeared to be a bag of trash. Instead, she found a human being huddled up in a sleeping bag, homeless Marine Veteran William Bozman. She bought him a hot chocolate, went home and logged onto Facebook to ask for help. July 12, 2017 - It was a special day & evening of serving for the volunteers of Making A Difference. We hung out with our friends at the homeless camps in East St. Louis where we passed out clothes & toiletries then had a delicious BBQ, making sure stomachs were full and there were smiling faces. We followed that with baptisms, prayers, and fellowship.
December 21, 2016 - It was a very cold night but that never stops our volunteers from serving! We always start and end street outreach by forming a circle & saying a prayer. The homeless we serve become our friends and we care about every single one we meet. We talk to them, we listen to their stories and offer hugs, comfort & a prayer along with food, clothing, toiletries & basic necessities.

February 24, 2017 - Making A Difference learned about a woman named Cassie who lost her hearing and was struggling because of it. Working with a local hearing center, MAD's founder, Chef Tony Hilker, helped her regain her hearing for the first time in years! It's one of our favorite stories and shows how we can all make a difference together!
March 23, 2017 - As racing fans, we were thrilled when sponsor Tettaton Heating & Cooling of Collinsville featured MAD's logo on their local Tettaton Racing car! Now we didn't need an excuse to go to the races. What an honor! Go #31!
